A cookie is a small file that this website stores in the browser to remember something between one page and the next. Here are all the ones we use. Necessary These are the ones that make the site work and cannot be switched off. They hold the booking while it is being completed — dates, chosen car, extras — keep you signed in to "My account", and remember the answer given to this very notice, so as not to ask again on every page. They are deleted when the browser closes, except the session one and the notice one, which last 12 months. Measurement These are only installed if they are accepted. They tell us how many people visit the site, which country they arrive from and at which step they abandon a booking. That is what lets us know whether something in the process is broken. They do not identify anyone by name. Third party We do not embed advertising or social network buttons that track browsing. The links to Facebook, Instagram and Tripadvisor are ordinary links: they load nothing until they are clicked. How to change your mind The choice can be made again at any time by deleting this site's cookies from the browser settings; the next visit will ask again.
